La Nouvelle-Orléans
Example
New Orleans grew inside a bend of the Mississippi, which earned it the name Crescent City. The French Quarter lines up Creole townhouses with cast-iron balconies, most of them rebuilt after the fires of the late eighteenth century. The St. Charles streetcar links the centre to the Garden District, under the oaks. In the evening, music plays in the streets and rooms of Frenchmen Street.
