Paris

Example

Paris is walked neighbourhood by neighbourhood, and each neighbourhood has its market. Most Haussmann buildings in the centre date from the second half of the nineteenth century — cut stone, continuous balconies on the second and fifth floors. The Seine divides two banks joined by bridges you cross on foot. The métro puts most addresses within twenty minutes of one another.
